About Us

The Pakistan Forest Recovery Program(PFRP) is a national initiative designed to restore Pakistan's forests through large-scale plantation of Indigenous fruit, shade, and wood trees.

Developed by the Dr. Waseem Ahmad Khan, the CEO of Wildlife Organization. the program works in close partnership with private landowners, Framers, Students, education instituations and nature lovers across all four provinces.

Pakistan currently has only 1.5% real forest cover amoung the lowest in the region.

Despite major government programs, the country is still losing 27,000 hectares of forest annually To support national environmental goals, PFRP aims to restore the ecological balance by engaging communitities directly in plantation efforts on privately owned productive, waterlogged, waste, and wild lands.

The Project operates between 2025 and 2035 and seeks to bring local people, private landowners, researchers, and students together to rebuild Pakistan's green lanscape

Why private landowners?

Private land represents a large, untapped opportunity for planting. We provide technical support, seedlings, and a revenue-share model for landowners who host reforestation projects on their land.

Funding model

Major funds come from donors who choose the campaign (region or species) of their own interests. All funds will be utiliesed for seeding, labour, plants protection and mointoring. All the donors will also be updated about plantation growth and protection through photographical evidence.
